Hey everyone! I'm Kristen. I'm currently a freshman at the University of Florida, and looking to major in Biology, for a pre-Vet track. I'm involved with UF's Campus Crusade for Christ organization (Cru) and I love it. God is doing awesome things through Cru here on campus. It's exciting! Anyways, I come from a small family, with only two sisters. I have a twin sister and a younger sister who is turning twelve this May. My hometown is Orlando, FL, and I have lived there for seventeen of my almost nineteen years. I love serving others and loving on people. It's just fun; and it brings me such joy to be able to laugh and live life with others. Speaking of which, I love to laugh. I love keeping things light-hearted and optimistic, and while being serious, love to joke around and keep everybody smiling and laughing. Forewarning: I tend to make a lot of pretty lame and corny jokes.. it's ok if you don't laugh, I'll be laughing anyways. :) Like I said, I just like having a good time and keeping things positive. I enjoy being outdoors and there are few things I don't enjoy doing when I am outdoors. Hiking, biking, running, camping, fishing, swimming, ย kayaking, manhunt, ultimate frisbee, soccer, football, hide-n-seek.. You name it! And I'm perfectly fine with getting down and dirty and not showering right away. (I'm sure some of you are saying "TMI" right now, right? ;) ). I also love animals, especially dogs, and I worked at a local veterinary clinic all four years of high school. If I see a dog, I will most likely stop what I'm doing and get down on all fours and start playing with them before saying hello to whomever they were with. :) Don't take offense.. Working with them for 4 years does that to you. ;) Hmmm, I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to or should write. I guess I should tell you I'm a little wacky and crazy and will do or at least try to do anything someone asks me to do. I know my limits, but I like living life as an adventure; it keeps things interesting, you know? I guess if there's anything I'm missing at the moment, just ask me your question. I like questions. They're fun. :) I'm excited about what God is going to do in Peru and I'll be praying for each of you and the rest of our team and those we will be ministering to in the Amazon. Oh, and I guess I should mention I've been to the Amazon before. I went summer 2008 with my local Orlando church. I was there for about two weeks. I was in the Brazilian territory of the Amazon. I'm very very overjoyed at the thought of going back. God has really given me a passion for that area of the world and I wait in eager anticipation to see what He's going to do this time around. Be blessed this week wherever you are and in whatever you may do. Do it all for our Lord's glory! :)
