So a little bit about me. I was born in Riverside, California, but moved to Mesa, Arizona so I don't really remember too much of it. I'm currently a freshman studying Biology and Society and Global Health at Arizona State University, and am anxious to see where God wants to use me. I have one brother and two adopted sisters, so a relatively large family, and enjoy all the time I get to spend doing crazy things with them.
I love to do anything even remotely related to music, even if it was playing the kazoo for an extended period of time. I have played cello and harmonica, recently began to play the guitar and sing, and hope to start leading worship services at my church. Anything outdoors has my name on it, and I'm a huge adrenaline junky. I've been skydiving, and love to go building climbing, hiking, camping, backpacking.. and am a huge fan of rain and snow. Dancing has kind of become a hobby of mine this year, my favorites being salsa and swing, and I hope to continue in the future if there is enough time for it. Other than that, I'm down with anything crazy and/or adventurous, and enjoy having a good time at whatever I'm doing.
I first came to know Christ about four years ago, and am thankful for the awesome four years that it has been. I've been on two previous missions trips, one to Costa Rica last summer and then a short trip to Mexico during October, and love to see how God can use opportunities in ways that I never could have imagined. I have a heart for the foreign field, especially in South America, and can't wait to see where it leads. I really have a passion for helping people, whether through service or simply sitting down and chatting with them, and am excited to see how God uses me to make an impact on others. I know this trip is going to be a blast, not the list of which is going to be drawing closer to God and really realizing and embracing His love for people, and can't wait to get to know you all!
In Him,
Grant
