Hey everbody! So I know I’m a little late in joining this thing, but nonetheless it’s good to finally have the opportunity to make myself a part the team.  It’s good to see the excitement that God’s putting in each of your hearts including mine.  I’m happy to know that there is already such a strong faith that is building for this trip, and I think God is going to reveal some very cool things to each of us.

So a little about me:

My name’s Patrick and I am 19 years old. I currently attend Colorado State University in Fort Collins. I still don’t have a major, and am still trying to figure out where God wants to use me.  Surprisingly, I just got saved around two months ago on March 1st.  I have grown up my entire life going to church and having the hope that I would one day go to heaven. However, up until recently I didn’t realize the importance of surrendering my whole life to Christ. Once I came to this realization, my everyday life has just been more and more blessed. I know I still have a lot of things God wants to heal inside of me, but patience is definitely crucial. I am involved in a church on campus called Grace Christian Church, and the members have become my friends and family.  God’s spirit is opening my eyes in a powerful way, and I am super stoked to be given the opportunity to share his love with others.

I also love being outdoors, as seems true for the rest of you as well. I have really been into mountain biking the past few months, enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, and simply sitting outside taking in the smells and appreciating the beauty God has put into nature. During the winter I am an avid snowboarder; Keystone is my favorite. Longboards are an excellent way to get around campus, and I also like to play Frisbee golf. I want to learn to play the guitar someday, but for now I just try to make some nifty beats on my djembe drum.

I’ve never been on a mission’s trip, but I figured two months evangelizing will make up for some lost time. I like kids and animals and I’m sure Peru will have both. I heard there are woolly monkeys that live in the jungle and will eat bananas right out of your hand! Anyways, that’s me in a very small nutshell. Prayers are heard, so continue to ask for a successful trip. God bless and see you in June!
